Working in partnership with the Athenaeum hotel, perfectly located opposite London’s Green Park, we wanted to showcase the Great British welcome and take advantage of the best GBP exchange rate for many years.
The Athenaeum offered us a room for the month of February, and we worked together to identify 15 international influencers from 10 markets who were invited to stay at the hotel and use it as a base to discover what they loved about London.
A broad range of influencers were selected with a combined audience of over 2.4 million people. Influencers with varying interests were selected to highlight the huge range of activities on offer in London – from London Fashion Week to shopping on a budget, luxury shopping to exploring the city coffee culture.
Each influencer spent 1-4 days at the hotel, enjoying all the facilities that are on offer from their great central base. In addition seven of the visits included visits to explore different areas including Liverpool, Brighton, Bath, Cotswolds and Bristol.
The results were great – including over 260 social media posts with over a 17 million reach. In addition we collected images, video and content from the influencers for future use – and created a short video from content collated on the Seenit video platform.
