Perry Sound Area Community Business & Development Centre Contest Announcement
The hunt for Canada’s MOST Rider Friendly Community has already begun with over 140 communities entered. Voting begins on March 29th 2018 to find Canada’s MOST Rider Friendly Community.
As riders get ready to hit the open road for the 2018-riding season, we take a look back to see what communities and events, people and attractions made our 2017-riding season so enjoyable. The hunt begins on March 29th 2018, to find the community that made motorcycle riders the most welcome during last years riding season.
The winning community will receive a marketing package comprised of Radio, TV, Print, Digital & Social Media marketing spots. That package is worth an estimated $35,000!
Every community that has been nominated wins something though.
The exposure they get by being nominated for this contest is often the only tourism or marketing support some of the little communities get. In total our media sponsors give out over $60K in FREE advertising to these very deserving Canadian Communities of 100,000 in size and smaller.
During our first two years of the contest, 89 communities were nominated in total.
In this, our third year, we have seen rampant growth with nominations for over 140 communities representing every ride-able province and territory in Canada.
“Canada’s MOST Rider Friendly Community Contest” is proud to be partnered with Community Futures of Canada and the Rider Friendly Business Association as our presenting sponsors.
We are also proud to have World of Motorcycling Podcast, KickStands Up Radio with Lou Devuono, Colorado Rider News, Man Wants Digital Magazine, Northern Horizon Newspaper, EastLink TV, The Busted Knuckle Chronicles, Belt Drive Betty Media, Ride Like a Local and Rider Friendly Report as media partners. Suzette Speaks Softly Translations and 310 Signs round out our sponsors so far this year!
Community Futures Grande Prairie & Region & all Community Futures Offices across Canada are thrilled once again to be part Canada’s Most Rider Friendly Community contest.
“With more than 140 nominations, this contest has enjoyed exponential growth, which shows that motorcycling and motorcycle tourism is alive and well in Canada and is one of the biggest economic opportunities for rural communities to capitalize on. I am continually impressed with the stories every nominated Community shares in regards to its welcoming motorcycling philosophy. I look forward to watching this race and wish all of the contestant’s good luck!” Holly Sorgen, Executive Director, Community Futures Grande Prairie & Region.
The Rider Friendly Business Association is a division of Belt Drive Betty Media; our mission is to make every riders riding season more memorable and enjoyable by promoting the great business people & attraction operators who are there to serve them and who often times offer special services or discounts to riders! ###
