Being an award-winning airport means keeping the airport experience fresh and meaningful for both leisure and business travelers alike. To that end, the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is undergoing a Concessions Refresh Program to further enhance the distinctive and high quality “Indy” travel experience.
The refresh endeavor is part of the Indianapolis Airport Authority’s (IAA) larger strategy, which includes showcasing local foods, beverages and brands that directly represent the Indianapolis culture and experience.
A number of existing concessionaire and retailer leases will expire in 2018, which presents an opportunity for the IAA to take food, beverage and retail in a fresh direction, one that shouts ‘we are Indianapolis’. Learn more about the program:
The Indianapolis Airport Authority owns and operates Indiana’s largest airport system. IND generates an annual economic impact in Central Indiana of more than $4.5 billion without relying on state or local taxes to fund its operations. About 10,000 people work at the airport each day. IND serves more than 8 million business and leisure travelers each year and averages 143 daily flights, seasonally and year-round, to 43 nonstop destinations.
